6-Day Marangu Trek

Trip Overview

We call this one the “classic way” up Kilimanjaro. It’s steady, direct, and full of great moments you’ll remember forever. You’ll start low in the rainforest, where you may witness monkeys jump through the trees, then climb through open moorlands and into the high alpine desert until only rock, snow, and sky surround you.

Each night, you’ll rest in mountain huts, share warm meals with fellow trekkers, and hear stories and briefings from your guides.

A Real Bed in the Mountains

Unlike other routes, you’ll sleep in shared mountain huts each night hence no tents. It’s warmer, drier, and gives you more time to rest and enjoy the experience.

Sunrise Summit Over Africa

Climbing to Uhuru Peak before dawn is the heart of this trek. As the sun rises behind you, the whole mountain glows and you’re standing at the highest point in Africa.

Today’s hike is quiet and dry, crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. It feels like walking on the moon. Save your energy—tomorrow is summit day.
